Dave comes from Newcastle, Australia and most places you can fly there crashing is a big deal. There are no convenient grassy hills or gentle thermals. All the right hills are covered in thick bushland or are steep cliffs. So learning to fly can be quite an exercise since crashing is kind of what you do. A lot. Dave's quest was simple. To make a high performance glider that was easy to fly.
